Not a resident of Stafford County and want to become a member of the Stafford County Virginia Democratic Committee? Want to help turn Stafford blue? We are pleased to announce a NEW Associate Membership! The purpose of this membership is to encourage young democrats, non-residents of Stafford County and other persons such as military family members, in accordance with our By-Laws, to participate in the activities of the Stafford Democratic Committee. For those under the age of 18 years, the prescribed $25 annual filing fee has been waived.

As a member of the Stafford County Virginia Democratic Committee, there are many ways that you can participate in electing Democrats and supporting Democratic Party campaigns and events, among them: organizing fundraisers, sponsoring forums and candidate debates, distributing literature, canvassing neighborhoods and getting-out-the-vote, mentoring “Young Democrats” at our local schools’ civic organizations, and writing letters to the editor of local papers to support our candidates and our issues.

We also sponsor a variety of community service projects.

The Stafford County Virginia Democratic Committee meets on the second Saturday of the month at 9:30 am in the Stafford County Government Center (Rooms A/B/C); however, due to a scheduling conflict, our next meeting will occur on September 20, 2008 (third Saturday). We look forward to meeting you!
