Transparency in Government
My opponent, Paul Milde, as the Chair of the Rappahannock Regional Landfill Board (R-Board), pushed through an ordinance to allow power generating facilities on government-owned property in Stafford “by right,” eliminating the right of the citizens living near the facility to be notified of what was being planned and for them to be afforded the opportunity to express their views at public hearings.
The public had to do a lot of digging to find out what was really being proposed with the “Waste to Energy” plant at the regional landfill. The public was spoonfed misinformation.
