     Thank you for your interest in the Stafford County   Virginia Democratic Committee (SDC). Founded in 1870, SDC is one of the oldest continuously-run local political organizations in the Commonwealth of Virginia. With several important local and General Assembly elections on the horizon, the SDC will continue to be a dynamic and vital advocate for responsive and sensible government in one of the fastest-growing communities in Virginia and the United States.

        The SDC is a diverse gathering of concerned and active citizens dedicated to making Stafford County a greater place to live and work.

EXTRA!  EXTRA!   SDC PRESS RELEASE... 
 STAFFORD, VA (Jan. 17, 2012)…The Stafford Democratic Committee will hold a caucus on Mon., Jan. 30 at 7:30 pm at the Stafford County Administration Building, 1300 Courthouse Rd., Conference Room ABC. The purpose of the caucus is to nominate a Democratic candidate for Garrisonville Supervisor in a special election requested by the Board of Supervisors for Tuesday, April 3rd.

Applicants for the Democratic nomination should submit a filing form and $50 fee to Stafford Democratic Committee, 43 Town & Country Drive, Suite 119-129, Fredericksburg, VA 22405 by noon on Saturday, Jan. 28. The Candidate Form and the Caucus Rules are available here.

Democrats wishing to participate in the caucus must arrive prior to 7:30 pm. Participants or interested candidates should call (540) 371-3271 with questions.
